The Harvey Park neighborhood in Southwest Denver has been home to the friendly folks of Colorado since the neighborhood was formed in the 1950s.  Enjoy your visit to our information packed Harvey Park web site.  Try to stop by often for the latest on news and events in our area.

School is back in session for the year, and Harvey Park residents are reminded to be especially careful driving in school zones.

Speeding in school zones is not only very dangerous for our kids, but it can also cost you double the normal fine if you get caught!

FEATURED SECTIONS

Spotlight on Zoning Issues...

The Spotlight on Zoning Issues page features a variety of changing topics having to do with common zoning questions that may be of interest to residents of the Harvey Park community.  Neighborhood Inspection Services will be presenting the topics each month in layman's terms to help us all understand the otherwise complex ordinances that pertain to common zoning issues and questions.

Click here to visit the spotlight page
(which can also be reached via the zoning page).

IMPORTANT NOTICES

Webmaster Needed!

We are currently looking for a new Webmaster for the Harvey Park web site. Please contact Paul Brockwell at 303-934-4297 if you are interested in doing the web site for us.

Harvey Park Recreation Center

The fall youth sports season is in full swing at Harvey Park Center and the winter sports season will soon be here. The large basketball program at the center includes youth teams from the pee wee 5, 6 and 7 yr old participants to middle school 13 and 14 yr old program. While the fall sports programs continue into November it is not too early to start thinking about signing up for basketball right now. In past years these programs have filled up fairly quickly. The fee for the 5 to 7 yr old age group is $30 while the fee for all other age groups is $45. Partial scholarships are available on a need basis. Most teams begin practices in mid to late November with the pee wee program beginning in early January. Leagues continue until late February.

A brochure is available at the center which contains a list of all other programs and activities offered. The brochure also lists the programs and activities of other recreation centers in Denver, including the popular swimming and water walking classes for the indoor pool at Athmar Center, located at 2680 W. Mexico Avenue (303-937-4600). Call either of the two centers for more information on classes or activities.
